Responsibilities:
Working within a highly successful product organization, your responsibilities will be as follows:
1) Implement Search for WebCenter Portal based on open source frameworks and help with its adoption in WebCenter.
2) Drive high quality Search implementations across multiple WCP Services. Make real-world operational scenarios fast and scalable, go deeper than simply exposing APIs.
3) Work with architects, engineers and product managers across product teams to integrate the new Search framework and nurture its uptake.
4) Build a Search user interface that is responsive and work well in both mobile devices and in the desktop browser.
5) Work on making existing user interfaces in WCP responsive and mobile friendly.
6) Work with architects, engineers and product managers across product teams to integrate the latest Security Products with WCP and uptake the latest Security API’s/Standards from Oracle Platform Security.
7) Work with customer support and product management to help resolve complex customer issues and support their operation.
Additional Details
We are seeking the following skills and technical expertise:
1) 4+ years experience designing, developing and shipping software products to a large customer base, ideally in enterprise software (portals, database systems, content management systems, operating systems or cloud services). This is not internal IT applications development – you have developed and shipped products from a software company, whose primary revenue comes from that software.
2) 2+ experience in object-oriented design and development in Java. Possess deep working knowledge of Java, J2EE, Security, HTTP, XML, HTML/JavaScript/CSS
3) Ideal skills: Open Source Search frameworks (Lucene, Solr, Elastic Search etc), js based frameworks (jQuery, Knockout, Bootstrap or similar) REST, XML, Persistence layer (one of JPA, TopLink, Hibernate), WLS.
4) Desired knowledge and technical skills: JSF, Message queues (JMS, RabbitMQ), Threads(Synchronization objects), Database, Network level diagnostics (iostat, DTrace, Ethereal, HttpWatch), JSON.
5) Deep understanding and commitment to product quality; able to describe prior experience with scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
6) Possess excellent communication skills (especially written), strong organization skills and a proven team player.
